With a displacement of 7.0 litres - that's 427 cubic inches for the traditionalists in the crowd - Corvette Z06's LS7 V8 generates a tremendous 505 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The result is a power-to-weight ratio that beats the Dodge Viper, Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo.**
Tap Up, Tap Down
Corvette Coupe and Convertible offer an available six-speed automatic transmission that combines control and total convenience. In 'D' mode the transmission functions as a conventional automatic. Select 'S' mode and the steering wheel-mounted, F1-style paddle shifters are activated, allowing you to choose the right gear for every situation.
Get A Grip
Every Corvette model features an Active Handling System integrated with the standard ABS and traction control systems. It constantly monitors for lateral skids and steps in automatically to help restore driver control.
Precision Shifting
The standard Corvette transmission is a short-throw six-speed manual engineered for quick, precise shifting. Double-cone synchronizers and a light-action clutch reduce shift effort. For a near-50/50 front/rear weight distribution, the transmission is rear-mounted and connected to the engine by a torque tube.
Supportive Seating
Corvette's highly supportive, well-bolstered 6-way power adjustable driver's seat with leather seating surfaces holds you firmly in place while you're exploring Corvette's impressive capabilities.
